4th of July Readings: Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence
July 3, 2018
The Ellis County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association gathered on the steps of the Ellis County Courthouse at noon on July 3rd for a formal reading of the United States Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights. This annual ceremony is part of a statewide effort by local criminal defense lawyer groups affiliated with the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (TCDLA). This year, members of TCDLA volunteered to hold readings in many of the county seats of our Great State to honor America and the freedoms we all enjoy, and to celebrate the significance of Independence Day.
